Lead & Chrome: A Post-Apocalyptic Tabletop RPG

Created by Adventures Await Studios

Lead and Chrome is a tabletop roleplaying game set in a post-ecocide world where the oceans have dried up, nearly all life has gone extinct, and the small percentage of humans who survived now eke out a living in the ruined wasteland that remains.

Update on Ghost Train Blues
about 2 months ago – Fri, Jan 02, 2026 at 01:43:46 PM

Hey Folks,

I hope you all had a good holiday season. Things have been a bit crazy for me recently so I wanted to fill you in on what's been going on and the state of the stretch goal.

Ghost Train Blues is nowhere close to being done. I've been struggling to finish it, and I refuse to put out a substandard, half-assed product.

I recently started working for a new company full time alongside my part-time job. I'm working six days a week for a combined 55-60 hours on average. On top of that, I've developed some new medical issues with my spine and back on top of my existing chronic medical problems. With everything going on, I just don't have the time or the energy to devote to getting the adventure done anytime soon.

It's possible that might change. I may find some well of inner strength to put towards it this year, but I wanted to be as upfront and honest with you as I could. I'm sorry to let you down. I promise that was never my intention. I hope you all will still enjoy the game, and I am still so grateful you believed in me.

I hope 2026 is an incredible year for all of you. <3

Cheers,
Benjamin

All Rewards Out. Next Project Coming Soon!
5 months ago – Mon, Sep 29, 2025 at 11:36:29 AM

Hey Folks,

So by now you should all have received your download links for the PDF and your Print on Demand codes for the physical version. I hope you're excited to get the books in hand and I hope you've been enjoying the PDF. I'm about 40-50% done with the stretch goal adventure. I've been balancing a bunch of things on my plate, but I'm trying to make sure I give it the attention and dedication it deserves. I'll be sure to let you know when it's done and up to my standards so you can chase after the "ghost train" and its pre-Collapse treasure trove with your friends!

I also wanted to let you know that I'm re-launching a project over on Kickstarter that I tried to launch a few years ago but had to cancel due to health issues (I lost an internal organ kind of suddenly). It's called Torch & Dagger and it's a grimdark fantasy TTRPG with incredible art done by Tony Grasso of Odd Gob Games (formerly DireQuest). The book is fully complete and ready to go. No additional work needed beyond submitting the new Kickstarter exclusive cover art to the printer. $20 gets you a PDF, a set of 50 print and play monster cards with art and stats on them, plus a Print on Demand code for either a hardcover with the exclusive cover art and/or a softcover with the normal art.

You can check it out at the link below. It launches on October 1st!

Thanks again for being incredible! Talk soon!

Cheers,
Benjamin

Print on Demand Codes Finally Going Out!
6 months ago – Fri, Aug 29, 2025 at 10:37:45 AM

Hey Folks!

I reviewed the proof copy that DriveThruRPG sent me and it looked solid so I approved the proof and just sent out the codes for you to purchase your softcover and hardcover copies. I know it's taken a bit longer for us to get here than we'd hoped, but I know you're gonna love the book! Codes should hit your inboxes soon!

Cheers,
Benjamin

New Proof Just Arrived!

Hey Folks,

The updated proofs just arrived. I'll go through them one last time over the weekend, and if all looks good, codes for print on demand will go out next week.

Cheers,

Crisis (Somewhat) Averted
7 months ago – Mon, Jul 21, 2025 at 10:33:26 PM

Wow, so many updates in such a short time. Sorry for blowing up your inboxes!

I managed to unscrew the file enough that I was able to get in, reapply the original font, and add the backer thank you pages at the end with the credits. New PDF is uploaded, so your BackerKit downloads section should have it now.

Unfortunately, anytime I make any changes to a print file with DriveThruRPG it has to go to the printers for approval, and then I have to order a proof, and only then can I set it as orderable by others.

So, we're back in a holding pattern of sorts. I'll keep you updated as we go. For now, I hope the PDF rewards keep you occupied. If you have any issues with them or don't see them in your downloads section, let me know and I'll work with BackerKit to get things sorted.

Now, I'm going to go work on Ghost Train Blues a bit more for you all tonight before I crash.

Cheers,
Benjamin
